About Mark Steel Jewelry

Founded in 1979 by artist Mark Steel Soffe, Mark Steel Jewelry creates handcrafted jewelry designed to feel both timeless and easy to wear. What began with a small collection of handmade bracelets and rings sold at local art festivals has grown into a respected studio known for artisan craftsmanship, clean design, and carefully made mixed metal jewelry. Matt joined the business in 1986, helping expand the company from a garage workshop into a collaborative studio with a team of skilled makers and artists.

Based in Kamas near the scenic Uinta Mountains, every piece is still handcrafted in-house using traditional metalsmithing techniques including forging, soldering, peening, bending, and hammering. Working primarily in sterling silver and gold fill, the studio creates jewelry with an organic, handcrafted feel that blends everyday simplicity with artistic detail.
