About Us

Notown Goods is an independent gift shop in Sterling, Massachusetts, featuring thoughtfully selected handmade goods from artists, artisans, and small producers across the United States, alongside unique pieces from Fair Trade makers and brands around the world. Each item in the shop is chosen for its quality, craftsmanship, and originality, with a focus on well-made goods designed to be used and loved.
Owner Leanne Boudreau brings a background in gallery and museum curation, along with years of experience in museum store management. Before opening Notown Goods, she ran Loomination, a handweaving business creating and selling her own textile work. That experience as a maker continues to shape the way the shop curates and supports independent artists and small brands.
The shop takes its name from Notown, a late-1700s settlement that once existed in what is now part of the Leominster State Forest. Inspired by the forests and hills of North Central Massachusetts, the shop reflects a love of craftsmanship, creativity, and thoughtful everyday living.
Visitors will find handcrafted ceramics, textiles, jewelry, candles, home décor, specialty foods, bath and body products, greeting cards, and gifts for baby and kids. Seasonal collections and displays change throughout the year, offering something new to discover with each visit.
Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or something special for your home, we’d love to welcome you to the shop.
